Repeaters

A repeater repeats one marked element once for each item a marketer adds. Each item has its own copy of the repeater’s fields. Use repeaters for product cards in a row, a list of footer links, agenda items or a set of social icons.

Mark the element that repeats, and mark the elements inside it that each item fills:

Website

Set up a Repeater field on link-item, then add a Link field inside it on link. Marketers can now add, remove and reorder links, each with its own text and URL.

SettingWhat it does
MarkerThe element repeated once per item.
Fewest items0 to 100. Marketers can’t remove items below this. A new module starts with this many items, and at least one.
Most items1 to 100, or empty for no limit. Marketers can’t add items beyond this.
Item fieldsThe fields each item has. Add them with Add field to repeater.

Item fields can be any type except another repeater: repeaters can’t be nested.

 • Every item field’s marker must be inside the repeater’s element.
 • A marker inside a repeater can only be filled by a field in that repeater. If a field outside the repeater uses it, you’ll see an error asking you to move the field into the repeater.
 • Marker names only need to be unique within the part, as usual. Each item’s copy is filled separately.
 • Marketers see a card per item, one open at a time, named by its first text. They can add, drag to reorder, duplicate and remove items, within the fewest and most.
 • A new item starts with the template’s own content.
 • A repeater that has never been filled in shows its element once, as written in the template. If the fewest is 0 and a marketer removes every item, the element is left out.
 • Toggles inside an item hide fields in that item only.

A repeated element is copied as it is, side by side. For a vertical list, repeat a
. For a row of cards, repeat a
, and remember the row needs to work with any number of cards from your fewest to your most. A common pattern for product grids is a module per layout, such as “Products (2 across)” and “Products (3 across)”, each with a repeater whose fewest and most are the same.

When the workspace has a Shopify store or WordPress site connected, marketers can fill a repeater’s items by picking products or posts, and a repeater can fill itself with your latest posts. See Mapping fields to products and posts.
