Integrations overview
Integrations let marketers fill modules from your products and posts instead of copying titles, prices, images and links by hand.
| Integration | What marketers can pick |
|---|---|
| Shopify | Products from your Shopify store |
| WordPress | Posts, pages and custom post types, with their custom fields |
| WooCommerce | Products from your WooCommerce shop |
| Email platforms | Coming soon: publishing campaigns straight to your ESP |
How it fits together
Section titled “How it fits together”- Connect a store or site on the Integrations page. You need the Owner, Admin or Developer role.
- Map fields. In the template editor, a developer tells each field what to fill from: this text field takes the product’s title, this image takes its image, this link takes its page. See Mapping fields to products and posts.
- Pick. In the campaign editor, marketers click Fill from a product or Fill from a post, search, and pick. The mapped fields fill in. See Filling from products and posts.
Filled values are ordinary content. Marketers can edit them like anything else, and they’re exported like anything else.
Privacy and security
Section titled “Privacy and security”- Your browser talks to your store or site directly. Modular Mail’s servers never call Shopify or your WordPress site.
- Only public credentials are used: Shopify’s public Storefront access token and the WordPress plugin’s read-only connection code. Both are designed to be seen in a browser and can’t change anything.
- Catalogues aren’t copied. Modular Mail keeps how to reach your store or site and the values filled into campaigns, with a note of what each was filled from. It never stores or indexes your products or posts.
Limits
Section titled “Limits”- One Shopify store and one WordPress site per workspace.
- Products come from one place. While a Shopify store is connected, WooCommerce products can’t be turned on.
- Integrations are workspace settings, so they keep working after a trial ends.
Who can see integrations
Section titled “Who can see integrations”The Integrations page is visible to everyone except Viewers. Connecting, changing and disconnecting need the Owner, Admin or Developer role. When connecting, you confirm you’re authorised to connect the store or site.
