Promotional Email Template
A free promotional email template for sale announcements, discount codes and product launches. Edit content fields in the browser, drag modules to fit the offer, export clean HTML to any ESP.
What's in this template
Ten modules to mix, reorder or drop as your offer changes.
-
Preheader
A slim strip above the header for the offer summary. This is the line inbox previews show next to your subject, so it earns the open.
-
Header
Centred logo over a row of navigation links, with the two least important links hidden on mobile to keep the row tidy.
-
Title Text
An oversized, letterspaced headline with a short subtitle underneath. The classic sale announcement treatment.
-
Hero Image
Full-width image slot for the campaign shot. 600px wide, scales cleanly on mobile.
-
Promo Code Banner
A tinted panel that sets your discount code in bold, so the one thing readers need to remember is the easiest thing to find.
-
Body Text
A single copy block for the offer details or product story. Keep it to a paragraph, the CTA does the rest.
-
CTA Button
Full-width, bulletproof button that renders properly in Outlook, with a hover state for clients that support it.
-
Social Icons
Linked icons for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok and Pinterest, set between ruled dividers.
-
Footer Links
Unsubscribe and privacy policy links, underlined and unmissable.
-
Terms and Conditions
Small print for offer dates, exclusions and promo code rules. The module you'll be glad you kept when legal asks.

Common questions
-
What is a promotional email?
A promotional email is a campaign built around one offer and one action: a sale announcement, a discount code, a product launch, a limited-time deal. Call it a sale email or a promo email, the shape is the same. Where a newsletter shares several stories, a promotional email strips down to a single message and a single CTA, because every extra link costs clicks on the one that matters. -
Is this template really free?
Yes. Open the template, edit content and drag modules, then export the HTML. No account required, no card, no email needed. -
Do I need an account to use the template?
No. Open the template, edit content, drag modules and customise the layout, then export the HTML. Nothing required. -
Can I export the HTML?
Yes. Export clean, standards-compliant HTML and use it in any ESP. -
Will this work with my ESP?
Almost certainly. The exported HTML imports into Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Campaign Monitor, Customer.io, Iterable, Braze, ActiveCampaign, Brevo and others. If your platform supports HTML email, this template works in it. -
What should a promotional email include?
Less than you'd think. A preheader that summarises the offer, a headline that names it, one hero image, the discount code if there is one, and a single CTA. Add terms and conditions at the bottom for the offer window and exclusions. If you're collecting promotional email examples for inspiration, notice how the best ones are ruthless about it: one offer, one button, nothing competing for the click. -
Can I use this for a flash sale or a discount code campaign?
That's the core use case. The promo banner module sets the code in bold where nobody scrolls past it, and the terms module handles the offer window and exclusions. For a flash sale, shorten the copy and let the headline carry the urgency. If the promotion doesn't use a code, drag the banner module out and the layout closes up around it. -
Is the template responsive?
Yes. All modules are responsive and tested across Gmail, Outlook (legacy and new), Apple Mail and the major mobile clients. The editor has device toggles to allow you to preview the email with your content at desktop, tablet and mobile screen sizes. -
Can I reuse this template for every sale?
That's exactly what it's built for. Open it for each campaign, change the offer, the code and the imagery, and export fresh HTML. The structure stays consistent so your Black Friday send and your January clearance look like they came from the same brand. -
Can I add my own modules?
Yes, with a Modular Mail account. The template ships with the core promotional modules; you can add custom modules from your own design system or build new ones from scratch.
